Detailed Physical Description[]
The Intrepid's crew initially seem to be frozen in time and place, however it becomes clear as Carpenter and Faulkner get closer to the boat that they have merged with the boat itself. The Trawler-man's River Angels feed on the crew's remains.[1]
Behaviour[]
The Intrepid drifts down the White Gull River.[1]
Context In The Story[]
Augustus Roake transforms the Intrepid and it's crew - Dyer, Slater, Smith, Butcher and Fuller - into a Saint before he leaves to set off the Wither Mark in Bellwethers.[2]
Carpenter and Faulkner find the boat shortly after arriving in Marcel's Crossing.[1]
As a result, they begin looking for members of the Parish of Tide and Flesh in the surrounding areas. This leads them to The Tatty Spine[3] and eventually 113 Longray Mansions.[4][2]
